KSU by the Numbers and Analysis: A Look at Past and Forecasted Growth Trends
This session will cover several analyses of the overall trends in KSU’s growth along with the data patterns of the growth at a macro level. An analysis of the external environment in which KSU operates in Georgia and the related counties will be presented. Lastly, both one-year and eight-year forecasts of KSU’s growth in multiple areas that may be beneficial going forward will be discussed.
Those attending this session are also encouraged to bring their ideas to the table on data and analysis that may be lacking and to provide input on what data and analysis are presented. Lunch will be served.

Metrics and Dashboards
In this session, participants will discuss the needs at KSU for deploying a functional dashboard for campus-wide usage around various metrics. Those attending this session will be asked to provide feedback on what metrics should appear as part of a KSU institutional dashboard as well as what contextual dials should display relative to (1) past performance, (2) peer institutions and (3) established targets. This class will provide you with the basic information needed to provide expeditious payment to an international visitor or vendor. We will cover types of visas, possible payment situations, internationals KSU can make a payment to and those internationals that KSU can’t make a payment to.

Fund Accounting - Understanding your Department's Budget
Kennesaw State University, like most universities, uses fund accounting to account for financial activity which flows through our Financial Accounting System. Fund accounting will give you an overview of how each fund is self-balancing with a set of accounts to track revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and other balances. Learn how to identify account numbers and find out what they represent. Learn what a speedchart means and what class and program your department is recorded in. Find out what each fund group means and the meaning of lapsing funds and non-lapsing funds. This course is part of the FIT Series.
